Twitter #RIPTwitter did it to the public. As of July 2023, user of the internet can no longer view Twitter Users without having an account. Twitter has now forced user to sign up in order to view any posts by anyone. (There are still holes in their code so it is not absolute.) So if you are like many who don’t want to sign up for twitter but do like to see tweets once in awhile, well you out of luck.

Twitter owner Elon Musk tweeted, claiming in a reply that the change is a “Temporary emergency measure,” blaming “data pillaging” for degrading the service for all users. But views of public without an account will not see his tweets so they will have no clue of what is going on with Twitter.
