Why is Trademark a Valuable Asset for an Artist?

Trademarks are not always for bigger corporations. Suppose if an artist gains popularity with their business using the same name as yours, what will you do? This will create confusion among your audience and this definitely will affect your value in the industry. This is why you should trademark your artist name to protect your business otherwise it might get diluted in the similar businesses names. Trademarks therefore will protect the longevity of your business and serve as a valuable asset for an artist. Have you tried getting a trademark for your business?

This is very true, but you should also keep good records of your name and published works, as you own the rights to your work even if they are not registered. But, if you ever have to prove it, you can submit your records.

I think this would be a good forum topic to have Trademark and Copyright. I submitted a feature request.
